Fighting Imps Walk It Off for 37th Win of Season
The Ithaca Fighting Imps did just enough to sneak past the Akron Blimps, 2-1, at Imps Park. Ithaca pitcher Tyler Budge, in particular, had a standout performance. Budge, now 5-3, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 12, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The win for the Fighting Imps raised their record to 37-35.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Ithaca trailing 1-0, Joe Barrientez hit a cutter from Eric Hill to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Fighting Imps had a walk-off win.
