Lake Minnetonka pitcher Kevin Pearce gave the Hops all they could handle, but in the end, Yakima left Hops Park with a win, 2-1. Pearce allowed 2 runs on 7 hits over 7.1 innings. Bill Zimmerman was credited with the save for Yakima, his 4th of the season. Yakima, at 45-27, is 4 games up in the Menard's AA.

Tom Hancock went 1 for 2 with a walk for Yakima. In a tie game with one out in the bottom of the sixth, Hancock came through with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Hops in front, 2-1.
