Crescent City took on Billings in front of a lively crowd.

The Crescent City Krewe bested the Billings Polar Bears, 6-3, at The Igloo. Gökhan Özdemir was one of the standouts. He went 2-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Blaise Tonetti. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 2. Shao-zu Chow converted his 1st save in 1 tries.

With Crescent City leading 4-3 in the top of the ninth, Özdemir hit a cutter from Edward Pritchard for a 2-run double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Krewe ahead, 6-3.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Özdemir.

Crescent City, at 40-23, is 2 games up in the Menard's AA.
