6-3 Loss to Blimps Extends Ottawa Losing Streak
|
The Akron Blimps topped the Ottawa Nationals, 6-3, in M3L Double A action at Goodyear Hanger Dome. The standout performance belonged to Akron pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Raúl Nieves. Chris Logan was credited with the save for Akron, his 13th of the season. The current losing streak for Ottawa has reached 16 games.
Miguel Lajara, who is tied for 8th in the 3AA in stolen bases with 17, aided the Akron cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances.
