The Lancaster Farmers picked up a win at The Igloo, knocking off the Billings Polar Bears, 5-4. Starting pitcher John Deemer was a big reason why. Dan Kent got credit for the save for Lancaster. It was his 2nd of the year. Lancaster has a 4-game win streak, while Billings has lost 5 in a row.

The outcome might have been different for Lancaster, had it not been for William Kirkland, the 24-year old center fielder . Kirkland stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put Lancaster up, 5-4. For the game, he was 2 for 6, including 1 double and 1 single.

"It's a mindset," said Deemer. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
