4-1 Loss Extends Ottawa Skid
|
Asheville Highlanders starter Jesús Gordini pitched his team past the Ottawa Nationals, 4-1. The save was credited to Tom Young, his 9th. The Nationals, now 16-38, have lost 11 straight.
The Highlanders grabbed the lead in the bottom of the second. With no one out, Yong-oon P'i hit a 2-run home run off Yang-cheng Sang, putting Asheville in front, 2-1. For P'i, it was his 4th home run of the season.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Gordini said.
