|
Crescent City beat Asheville on the strength of starter Anthony Coleman's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-2. Coleman went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-0. Crescent City goes to 34-17. The win puts them 4½ games up in their division.
The Krewe grabbed the lead in the top of the fifth. With two out, Pedro Ramos hit a 2-run home run off Ramón Vázquez, putting Crescent City in front, 4-0. For Ramos, it was his 2nd home run of the season.
Coleman called the win "a collective effort."
