Greenwood, Farmers Beat Nationals, 8-0
|
The Lancaster Farmers beat the Ottawa Nationals, 8-0, at Farmers Field. Sonny Greenwood, in particular, was impressive. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Mark Antrim, the winning pitcher, is now 4-3. He went 6 innings, allowing no runs on 1 hit, while fanning 7 and walking 3. Ottawa's current losing streak has reached 7 games.
Lancaster took a 5-0 lead on Greenwood's 2nd triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which he hit off Yang-cheng Sang in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Lancaster to the win.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Greenwood told the Lancaster Herald.
