The Barton Springs Blues topped the Akron Blimps, 8-5, in M3L Double A action at Goodyear Hanger Dome. The standout performance belonged to Barton Springs pitcher and Palatine, Illinois, native Dave Mills. The winning pitcher was Mills, now 4-3. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Danny Kas earned the save for Barton Springs, his 3rd.

With runs few and far between, the Blues had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Barton Springs came in the top of the third inning, when first baseman Ben Chell delivered a 2-run single. The single was hit off Cédric Barbot and made the score 4-0, Blues. Chell was 1 for 5. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
