Polar Bears Get One-Run Win at Lancaster
|
Billings and Lancaster duked it out and the Polar Bears came out victorious.
The Billings Polar Bears took Lancaster pitcher Mark Antrim's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Farmers Field. The final score had Billings getting past the Farmers, 5-4. Antrim went 6 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 4. The victory puts Billings at 14-21.
It could have been a different outcome for Billings, had it not been for Doug Bishop, the 24-year old catcher . Bishop contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Billings up, 5-4.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Bishop said.
