Blimps Saddle Highlanders with 5-2 Loss
The Akron Blimps downed the Asheville Highlanders, 5-2. The hitting star was second baseman Jesse Groves. Groves went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Blimps. Reliever António del Pozo picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Charlie Turner took the loss. Akron is now 18-12, Asheville 16-14.

In the bottom of the sixth, Akron pinch hitter Scott Bissonnette put his team on top. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit his 5th double of the year. Asheville pitcher Steve Richards served it up. Just like that, the Blimps were ahead, 3-2.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Bissonnette. "And not try to do too much."
