The Akron Blimps picked up a win at Field of the Krewe, knocking off the Crescent City Krewe, 5-4. Starting pitcher Steven Carlson was a big reason why. Chris Logan closed it out for his 7th save. With the win, Akron pushed its record to 15-10.

Jesse Groves, who is tied for 7th in the 3AA with a .415 on-base percentage, aided the Akron cause with a 2-run double in the top of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman went 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We've got a great group of guys," Carlson said, "and we're having fun right now."
