Blues Squelch Fighting Imps Offense in Shutout Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Ithaca Fighting Imps and Barton Springs Blues get after it.

Getting an impressive start from Dave Mills, Barton Springs beat Ithaca by the score of 4-0. Mills went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 5, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-1.

The Blues got an important contribution from second baseman Leonardo Valdéz, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a 0-1 splitter into right-center for a solo home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Blues ahead, 2-0.

"I had everything working," said Mills.
