Ben Walters helped his team muscle past the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 6-5. In the game, the Akron designated hitter went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win belongs to Eugene Dwyer in relief. His record improves to 1-0. John Lee took the loss for Lake Minnetonka.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Akron center fielder Ed Reilly, facing John Lee, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Blimps the 6-5 win.
