The Casper Ghosts picked up a win at The Graveyard, knocking off the Yakima Hops, 6-1. Starting pitcher Luis Ornelas played a key role in the triumph. The loss drops Yakima to 8-6.
With runs few and far between, the Ghosts had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Casper came in the bottom of the fourth inning, when third baseman Kuan Ru delivered a 2-run single. The single was hit off Cedric Carey and made the score 3-1, Ghosts. Ru was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs.
Ornelas told a Casper Herald reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
