Blues Win at Ottawa, 2-1
|
Barton Springs Blues starter León Martínez was in fine form against the Ottawa Nationals at Nationals Park, leading his team to a win, 2-1. Earning his 1st save of the year was Harley Hawk. Ottawa, at 2-10, is off to a dreadful start in 2046.
It could have been a different outcome for Barton Springs, had it not been for Denny Wolfe, the 27-year old center fielder . Wolfe contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Barton Springs up, 2-0.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Barton Springs skipper Alonso Cruz. "I can't complain."
