The Buckhead Bowties and Buffalo White Walkers obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

The Buckhead Bowties relied on the hitting of third baseman Dave Richards to stop the Buffalo White Walkers, 9-8. For the game, Richards belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The winner was Buckhead reliever John Penton, now 3-0. The loser was Yaroslav Red'kin.

The White Walkers had been locked in a 6-6 tie with the Bowties going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old third baseman Ramiro Castillo came to the plate. Castillo hit a bases-clearing double on a full count fastball from Buffalo hurler José Torres. It was Castillo's 8th double of the year.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Richards said.

Buckhead now sits at 47-55, while Buffalo falls to 40-62.
