Fateen Leads Browns to 6-5 Win Over Northern Lions BC
|
The Cleveland Browns topped the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 6-5, in Menard's Third League action at Great Northern Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Cleveland first baseman Sariyah Fateen. Kenny McFadden, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 11th save. The Browns now have a record of 44-48.
Fateen had a timely hit for Cleveland in the top of the ninth. With Thunder Bay trailing 5-2, he turned a full count fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 8th home run of the season, making it 6-5, Cleveland.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Cleveland manager Greg Diersing.
