Northern Lions BC Come Up Short at Buckhead, 2-1
|
Buckhead starter Jordon Glen Anderson pitched well against the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at 5 Paces Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 2-1. Anderson picked up the win for Buckhead, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 6-3. Marty McFly converted his 13th save in 19 tries.
In the bottom of the sixth, Buckhead right fielder Edward Kisiner put his team on top. With two out and a runner on 2nd, he hit his 18th home run of the year. Thunder Bay pitcher Josuke Okumura served it up. Just like that, the Bowties were ahead, 2-1.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Anderson told the Buckhead Daily News.
