The Buckhead Bowties beat the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 7-5, at Great Northern Field. Buckhead third baseman Dave Richards had an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Buckhead reliever Wes Gilmore was the winner. His record is now 6-3. Casey Ball took the loss. Marty McFly was credited with the save for Buckhead, his 12th of the season.

It could have been a different outcome for Buckhead, had it not been for Félix Pacheco, the 25-year old right fielder . Pacheco contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Buckhead up, 7-5.

"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Pacheco told the Buckhead Daily News.
