White Walkers Win at Oakland, 4-2
|
Starting pitcher Mike Donovan took care of business, helping the Buffalo White Walkers stifle the Oakland Oaks, 4-2. Buffalo pitcher Kini Grinter got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Walt McPike got the loss. The White Walkers move to 32-44 with the win, while the Oaks drop to 33-43.
Buffalo used the clutch hitting of Tokaji Mizuno to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the White Walkers the lead, 3-2. For the game, Mizuno had 2 singles and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Donovan.
