Lakers Upend Browns, 5-2
|
Behind a fine performance from Philip Todd, the Echo Park Lakers knocked off the Cleveland Browns, 5-2. Todd hit 2 home runs for the Lakers. Stanley Davis was credited with the save for Echo Park, his 1st of the season. The win puts Echo Park at 36-29 this season.
The Lakers got an important contribution from shortstop Ik-jun Cho, who in the top of the second hit a 1-1 curveball into left for a solo home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Lakers ahead, 2-0.
"The more wins we pile up," said Todd, "the more I like our chances."
