The Kingston Township Knights topped the Panama City Piranhas, 3-2, in Menard's Third League action at Cloverdale Legion Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kingston Township pitcher Tony Cowan. Cowan got the win, improving to 3-5. He allowed 7 hits and walked 4 over 7 innings. Cowan allowed 2 runs. The Knights sport a record of 15-27.
The Knights benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the second. With Ánibal Lima at bat and Kingston Township leading 2-0, the Panama City miscue allowed Kingston Township to plate 1 and take the lead, 3-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Cowan told the Kingston Township Daily.
