Hollis Shines in 7-6 Panama City Win
|
The Kingston Township Knights and Panama City Piranhas provided some drama for the home crowd.
Behind a fine performance from Anthony Hollis, the Panama City Piranhas knocked off the Kingston Township Knights, 7-6. Hollis went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Piranhas. Panama City reliever Gunner Cross got the win, raising his record to 3-2. Kyuichi Ozawa was tagged with the loss.
Hollis had a game-changing triple in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 fastball from Kyuichi Ozawa, he banged a run-scoring triple to left-center, giving the Piranhas a 7-6 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Hollis.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Hollis. "And not try to do too much."
The losing streak for Kingston Township has now reached 4 games.
