The 8-6 Akron win over Crescent City was due in large part to Miguel Lajara. The Blimps center fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The win belongs to António Gallegos in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Blaise Tonetti took the loss for Crescent City. The win puts Akron at 4-0.

Lajara contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Akron in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 6-5, Lajara took a sinker from Blaise Tonetti and stroked the home run to right-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Blimps to leap in front, 8-6.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Lajara.
