4-2 Loss Extends Port Royal Skid

The Drummers grabbed a win, 4-2, at Ballpark of Port Royal, overcoming a fine effort from Port Royal pitcher Jurg Roozen. Roozen went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs. Noah Keyte, 4-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 4 innings. Jérôme Fleury was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 13 save opportunities.
The Drummers got a big hit from second baseman Carlos Leyva. In the top of the fifth, Leyva pounded a run-scoring triple to left-center. His 4th triple of the season put the Drummers ahead, 3-0.
"Enjoyed this one," Leyva told the Tortolita Today. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
The losses continue to mount for Port Royal, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
