The Kansas Rainbeaus did just enough to sneak past the Norfolk Pajaritos, 7-6, at Wichita Field. Kansas shortstop Rickard Busald, in particular, had a standout performance. With the win, Kansas raised its record to 53-44.

The Rainbeaus procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Habib Othman. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"I'm not out here to win a beauty contest," said Busald. "Obviously."
