Sacramento Redlegs starter Teika Fukuda pitched a strong game against the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds at Dog Park in Ellenburg, leading the Redlegs to victory, 5-3. Sacramento reliever Eugenio Piñeiro picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Shan-bo Kang was saddled with the loss. Sacramento raised its record to 56-38 with the win.

Sacramento used the clutch hitting of Meester Gobbles-Rooster to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Sacramento manager John Brown.
