|
The Pawnee ParksNRec picked up a win at Ballpark of Port Royal, knocking off the Port Royal Disaster, 6-4. Starting pitcher Ricky Mina was a big reason why. In 6.1 innings, Mina surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Tim Strong was called on to finish, recording his 9th save.
It could have been a different outcome for Pawnee, had it not been for Alonso Mendos, the 24-year old third baseman . Mendos contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Pawnee up, 1-0.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Mina.
The 'W' lifts Pawnee's record to 46-39.
