Maddox Stars in 7-5 Win for Syracuse
The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys bested the Kansas Rainbeaus by a score of 7-5, with third baseman David Maddox getting the main credit. On the day, Maddox went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Squirrel Monkeys. With the win, Syracuse upped its record to 46-32.

Maddox had a timely hit for Syracuse in the top of the seventh. With Kansas trailing 5-4, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 7-5, Syracuse.

"This was a good win for us," said Maddox. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
