Petit Excels, But Pajaritos Win
The inspired effort of Port Huron right fielder Xavier Petit was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-5, to the Norfolk Pajaritos. Petit went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was Yu-wei Kum. He's now 8-0. He went 7.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits for the Pajaritos. Norfolk leads the Silver AAA by 3½ games.

Norfolk used the bat of Adam Lee to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Pajaritos ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Norfolk manager José Rodríguez.
