Blitzkrieg Stymie Sacramento, Take 2-1 Win
|
Teika Fukuda pitched well, but the Sacramento Redlegs still lost the game, falling 2-1 to the Port Huron Blitzkrieg at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Victor Brown closed it out for his 11th save. Port Huron, with the win, is 19-51.
Port Huron used a clutch hit from Ralph Titus to get the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blitzkrieg ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager John Brown.
