The Kansas Rainbeaus defeated the Pawnee ParksNRec, 5-4, in USSL Triple A action at Wichita Field. Kansas pitcher Francisco Borges had a standout performance. Borges picked up the win for Kansas, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Luis Valdés earned the save for Kansas, his 15th.

Kansas second baseman Erwan Michel contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a curveball into right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 35th hit of the season and put the Rainbeaus ahead, 5-2.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Borges told the Kansas Herald.
