Big Day for Urby as Drummers Down Fighting Dachsunds, 12-3
The Tortolita Drummers had no problem beating the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, 12-3, at Drummers Ballpark. Fernando Urby led the way. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for Tortolita. Ramiro Valdés picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Eric Manchester was tagged with the loss. Tortolita now sits in 8th place in the Silver AAA at 19-22.

With Tortolita leading 9-3 in the bottom of the eighth, Urby came up to bat against Ellenburg pitcher António León. Urby hit a fastball to center for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Drummers on top, 12-3.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Tortolita manager Barrett Abbott.
