Akentiev Powers Disaster Offense
Port Royal shortstop Slavik Akentiev made his presence felt in the 12-7 Disaster triumph over the Port Huron Blitzkrieg. Akentiev went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs. Joop Els came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. The win gives the Disaster a record of 10-29.

Port Royal used a clutch hit from Tomás Martí to get the win. The third baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Disaster ahead, 7-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll build on this win," said Martí.
