Charles Stevenson was a major factor in the 5-4 Kansas win over Calgary. The Rainbeaus shortstop was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times. Kansas reliever Luis Valdés picked up the win to move to 3-2. Asher Mouland suffered the loss. With the win, the Rainbeaus have a record of 22-14.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Pablo Morterero came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Calgary pitcher Asher Mouland, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Kansas on top, 5-4.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Calgary manager Rafael Clemente. "But we decided not to take it."
