Tight Tilt Goes to Redlegs, 4-3
|
Fans watched the Sacramento Redlegs and the Calgary Lynx fight to the finish.
Starting pitcher Ki-seop Ch'oe pitched well enough to help the Sacramento Redlegs beat the Calgary Lynx, 4-3. In 7 innings, Ch'oe surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. He allowed 3 runs. Arsen Campbell earned the save, his 8th, for the Redlegs.
Sacramento used the bat of José Costa to get the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Calgary manager Rafael Clemente, "let me know."
Sacramento is now 17-13.
