5-4 Loss Extends Port Royal Skid
The Kansas Rainbeaus did just enough to sneak past the Port Royal Disaster, 5-4, at Wichita Field. Kansas pitcher Félix Torres, in particular, had a standout performance. Luis Valdés nailed down his 11th save. Port Royal's current losing streak is now 6 games.

Jason Durkin tagged a home run off Neil Young in the bottom of the sixth. His 2-run blast put the Rainbeaus on top, 3-2. In all, Durkin had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Torres. "Successful pitchers do it."
