Blitzkrieg Pull Off Thrilling 9-5 Win in Extras
The Port Huron Blitzkrieg beat the Calgary Lynx, 9-5, at Lynx Stadium. The Blitzkrieg got a fine performance from second baseman Ron Ficco, who was 4-7 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Port Huron reliever Tony Ruvenacht picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Asher Mouland was saddled with the loss. Port Huron, with the win, is 8-17.

Port Huron used the clutch hitting of Coy MacKey to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Blitzkrieg ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Ron is still learning," said Blitzkrieg manager Harrison Blackford. "The sky's the limit for him."
