Port Royal Beats Sacramento, 4-2

The Port Royal Disaster topped the Sacramento Redlegs, 4-2, in USSL Triple A action at Sacramento Sanitation Station. The standout performance belonged to Port Royal pitcher and Morón, Cuba, native José Blanco. Blanco, now 2-2, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Takayuki Shimizu finished to wrap up his 2nd save.
Danny Stone, who is tied for 3rd in the SAAA in bases on balls with 19, helped out the Port Royal cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the designated hitter went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles.
"We put together a nice win," Stone said.
The triumph makes Port Royal 7-16.
