Sacramento Roughed Up By Drummers

The Tortolita Drummers thumped the Sacramento Redlegs, 9-1, at Drummers Ballpark. Ron Lott was a big reason his team got the win. Lott was 2-2 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Roberto Punyed picked up the win with 7.2 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 2-1. Sacramento falls to 12-8.
Lott had a big hit for Tortolita with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. With Tortolita leading 1-0, Lott hit a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Drummers up, 3-0.
"We took it on the chin today," said losing manager John Brown.
