Drummers Drop Fighting Dachsunds, 7-5
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds got a superb performance from center fielder Tsu-wee Tsou, but the Tortolita Drummers still won the game, 7-5. Tsou was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The winning pitcher was Jhon Aimar. His record is now 1-1. The right-hander went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits for the Drummers. Gabriel Leeds finished to wrap up his 6th save.
It could have been a different outcome for Tortolita, had it not been for Roy Stewart, the former first round draft pick . Stewart contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Tortolita up, 6-4.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Stewart told the Tortolita Today.
With their winning streak at 4, the Drummers have raced to a strong start this season.
