Good production from right fielder John Richardson helped the Kansas Rainbeaus topple the Port Royal Disaster, 9-8. Richardson went 4-6 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Rainbeaus. Ben Hankins closed it out for his 1st save. Kansas has a mark of 8-5 after the win.

Kansas used the timely hitting of Pablo Morterero to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rainbeaus on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Clint Davis, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
