The Sacramento Redlegs bested the Calgary Lynx, 4-3, at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Lewis Burnell was one of the standouts. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Sacramento pitcher Forest Brewer got the win. He's now 1-0. Mario Silva was tagged with the loss. Arsen Campbell sewed up the save, his 4th.
In the bottom of the seventh, Sacramento second baseman Gin-fan Chong hit a run-scoring single to left field. The clutch hit made it, 4-3, Redlegs.
Burnell told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
The win has Sacramento at 9-4.
