The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys defeated the Port Royal Disaster, 7-3, at The Zoo in Syracuse. Syracuse first baseman Ali Ben Bongo had a superb performance. He was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Zaki Fakhiri was the winning pitcher. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts. The win puts Syracuse at 6-5.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fifth when Bongo hit a 2-run single. It propelled the Squirrel Monkeys into the lead, 5-3.
