The Port Huron Blitzkrieg picked up a win at Port Huron Park, knocking off the Kansas Rainbeaus, 3-2. On the mound for Port Huron was right-hander Laurent Schweitzer, who played a pivotal role in the win. The defeat makes Kansas 4-3.
Nathan Bram was the walk-off hero for Port Huron. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Blitzkrieg designated hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Schweitzer.
