Starks Come Up Short at Milton, 3-2
The Syracuse Starks got a superb performance from pitcher Jorge Santos, but the Milton Dogfish Head still won the game, 3-2. Santos threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Milton reliever Rubén Santana picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Brooks Sexton absorbed the loss. Kamiel Wabeke got the save, his 23rd in 26 chances.

In the bottom of the seventh, Milton shortstop Christian Cole hit a run-scoring single to right field. The clutch hit made it, 3-2, Dogfish Head.

"Tough loss," said Syracuse manager Ramón García. "But we'll learn from it."

Milton, at 67-35, is 3½ games up in the Menard's AAA.
