Özdemir goes 4-for-4, Leads Brass to Win
A good performance from first baseman Gökhan Özdemir helped the Baton Rouge Brass defeat the Forest City Warriors, 4-1. Özdemir went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Brass. Deron Lewis was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed 1 run on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. The second-place Brass have won 5 consecutive games.

Baton Rouge used the timely hitting of Sergio Vargas to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Brass on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
