The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes trumped the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 9-4, at The Bamboo Forest. Santa Barbara first baseman Pedro Basconcillos was terrific. He went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Santa Barbara reliever Todd Garrett got the win, raising his record to 2-2. David Flowers was tagged with the loss. The losing streak for Sioux Falls has now reached 6 games.

Santa Barbara used the timely hitting of Ryan McLeod to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Golden Cranes on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
