Turbeaus Win at Toledo, 4-1
|
Bernard Miller never let the Saboteurs get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Turbeaus to a win, 4-1. Byron Vyse recorded the save, his 2nd. The win lifts Gulf Coast to a record of 2-7.
The Turbeaus got a big boost from second baseman Nathan Brannon who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third inning off Saboteurs hurler Pablo Montoya. It was his 1st RBI of the season and put Gulf Coast on top, 2-1.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Miller said after the game.
